Cleaner installations We focus on discreet mounting, organized cabling, proper network setup, and reliable device placement.
Easy daily use We configure the apps, notifications, users, recording, permissions, and settings before we leave.
What We Install

Security devices that work together instead of creating more confusion.

We install the devices homeowners and small businesses actually use every day: cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, sensors, alarm devices, and UniFi Protect camera systems. The goal is simple: better awareness, cleaner installation, and easier control from your phone.

Video Doorbells

Doorbell cameras for visitor alerts, package visibility, front door activity, and app-based answering.

Door, Window & Motion Sensors

Smart sensors for entry points, interior alerts, doors, windows, garages, and activity monitoring.

Indoor Cameras

Interior camera placement for common areas, pets, deliveries, kids arriving home, and general awareness.

Smart Door Locks

Keyless entry, guest codes, remote locking, family access, rental access, and better control over who enters.

Outdoor Security Cameras

Camera coverage for driveways, yards, garages, side doors, back doors, gates, and exterior blind spots.

UniFi Protect Camera Systems

Hardwired camera systems with local recording, clean cabling, app access, and stronger reliability.

Choosing The Right System

Not every property needs the same security setup.

Some homes only need a better doorbell and smart lock. Others need multiple hardwired cameras, local recording, network upgrades, sensors, and access control. We help match the system to the property instead of forcing every client into the same package.

System Type Best For Why Clients Choose It
Ring Video doorbells, floodlight cameras, basic alarms, and app-based alerts. Familiar, simple, easy to use, and a good fit for basic front door or exterior awareness.
UniFi Protect Hardwired cameras, 24/7 recording, larger homes, driveways, garages, and full-property coverage. Local recording, clean wiring, no required camera subscription, strong reliability, and better long-term control.
Smart Locks Families, kids, guests, rentals, house cleaners, service access, and keyless entry. No more hidden keys, easier guest access, better visibility, and remote lock control.
Sensors Doors, windows, garages, basement entries, motion areas, and interior activity alerts. Sensors add another layer of awareness beyond cameras alone.
Integrated Security Homes with cameras, locks, lighting, Wi-Fi, garage control, and automation. Connected systems are easier to manage when they are planned together from the beginning.
The best security system depends on your layout, Wi-Fi strength, wiring access, entry points, camera views, recording needs, budget, and how much control you want from your phone.

Local recording Footage is stored on your equipment instead of depending only on cloud clips.
Hardwired reliability PoE cameras use network cabling for power and data, reducing Wi-Fi dependency.
Clean camera views We plan camera angles around the areas that actually matter.
Professional setup We configure recording, users, remote access, motion zones, and app settings.

Security Questions

Common questions before installing cameras, locks, or access control.

These are the questions we commonly hear from homeowners and small business owners comparing Ring, UniFi Protect, smart locks, sensors, and complete security systems.

Will security cameras slow down my Wi-Fi?
Wireless cameras can add load to your Wi-Fi, especially if you install several of them. For larger homes or data-heavy camera coverage, we often recommend hardwired PoE cameras like UniFi Protect so camera traffic is handled through the network cabling instead of relying only on Wi-Fi.
Do I need a monthly subscription to see my footage?
Not always. Some camera brands rely heavily on cloud subscriptions, while systems like UniFi Protect store video locally on your equipment. We can explain the difference during your assessment so you understand the long-term cost and control before choosing a system.
Can you install security cameras I already purchased?
In many cases, yes. We can install compatible customer-provided devices, but the final setup depends on the product, mounting location, power requirements, wiring access, Wi-Fi strength, and whether the device is still supported by the manufacturer.
Should I choose Ring or UniFi Protect?
Ring is a good fit for simple doorbells, floodlight cameras, and app-based alerts. UniFi Protect is better for hardwired camera systems, 24/7 recording, larger homes, stronger reliability, and clients who want local video storage without a required camera subscription.
Can you install smart locks and doorbell cameras together?
Yes. Doorbell cameras and smart locks are often installed together because they improve front door visibility and access control. We can also help configure guest codes, family access, notifications, and app permissions.
Do you install traditional monitored alarm systems?
The SmartHome Co. focuses on smart security devices, cameras, Ring alarm systems, smart locks, sensors, UniFi Protect, and access control. We do not currently install traditional central-station alarm systems such as ADT, Vivint, Brinks, or Honeywell Total Connect.
Can you help with security for rental properties or Airbnb properties?
Yes. We can install exterior cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, and entry monitoring for rental properties. Property owners should always verify current platform rules and local requirements before installation, especially for short-term rentals.
