Our role

We design the system behind the devices.

Smart Home Networking Security A/V Automation

The SmartHome Co. was built around a simple belief: technology should make your home or business easier to manage, not more frustrating.

We are not just device installers. We look at the network, wiring, equipment placement, app setup, security needs, user experience, and long-term support picture before recommending a solution.

That is the difference between a quick install and a technology system that actually works the way you expect it to work.

Why choose us

Practical technology, designed around real homes and businesses.

Our work is built around reliability, clean installation, long-term usability, and clear communication. We help clients make smart decisions without overcomplicating the process.

01

Network-first thinking

Most smart home problems are really network problems. We start with Wi-Fi, wiring, switching, placement, and system reliability before adding more devices.

02

Clean, professional installs

We care about the finished look. That means clean mounting, organized cabling, thoughtful placement, and technology that fits the space instead of cluttering it.

03

Systems, not shortcuts

We look at how everything connects: cameras, Wi-Fi, audio, TV, smart lighting, automation, apps, users, and future expansion.

04

Client-friendly guidance

You do not need to speak tech to make a good decision. We explain your options in practical language and recommend what makes sense for your space.

05

Platform flexibility

We work with trusted systems like UniFi, Ring, Sonos, Lutron, Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, and other platforms that fit real-world use.

06

Local Metro Atlanta support

We are based in Marietta and serve homeowners and small businesses across Metro Atlanta with practical support before, during, and after installation.

How we think

Reliable systems start with the foundation.

A smart home, camera system, audio setup, or business network is only as dependable as the infrastructure behind it. We focus on the details most people do not see, because those details are what make the system feel simple later.

Better planning before installation

We look at coverage, device placement, wiring paths, internet needs, and how the system will be used day to day.

Cleaner equipment and cable organization

From network racks to hidden TV cabling, we focus on work that looks professional and remains easier to service.

Configuration that supports the client

We set systems up so they are easier to manage, easier to understand, and better prepared for future changes.

Meet Brandon

Built by a technology integrator, not a sales script.

The SmartHome Co. is led by Brandon Hicks, a Metro Atlanta technology integrator with hands-on experience across smart home systems, networking, surveillance, access control, TV mounting, audio/video, and low-voltage installation.

Brandon started The SmartHome Co. to give homeowners and small business owners a better option than rushed installs, confusing recommendations, or systems that look good on paper but are frustrating to live with every day.

The goal is simple: design practical technology systems that work reliably, look clean, and make sense for the people using them.

“Technology should feel simple to the client, even when the system behind it is doing a lot.”

Brandon Hicks, The SmartHome Co.

02

Design the right path

We recommend practical options for wiring, networking, cameras, A/V, automation, and device placement.

03

Install cleanly

We focus on secure mounting, organized cabling, professional setup, and a finished result that looks intentional.
