Better sound starts with a better plan
Designed around
the way you listen.
We plan the speakers, connections, network, and controls together. The goal is a system that fits the room and feels comfortable to use.
The right sound for the space
Consider the room, listening positions, TV, and the balance between visible and built-in speakers.
A clean, connected system
Plan placement, mounting, cable routes, and practical equipment organization.
An experience you understand
Set room names, connect agreed services, test playback, and walk through everyday controls.
01 / TV audio & surround sound
Make movie night
feel bigger.
A thoughtfully integrated soundbar, subwoofer, and compatible surrounds can bring more depth to the way you watch. We plan the full signal path and the room around it.
- 01Soundbar and TV, together
Review the soundbar, TV connection, source devices, and supported audio formats before choosing equipment.
- 02Placement with purpose
Plan soundbar mounting, compatible surrounds, and subwoofer placement around the seating and room layout.
- 03The controls you actually use
Configure the TV audio settings, test volume and power behavior, and explain the installed setup.
We design around products such as Arc Ultra, Beam, compatible Era surrounds, Sub, and Sub Mini. The final combination depends on the room and equipment compatibility; available audio formats depend on the complete TV and source connection.
02 / Whole-home music
A room of your own.
Or a home in harmony.
Listen independently or bring selected spaces together. We plan the rooms, configure the system, and show you how grouping works.
Different rooms.
Different moods.
Separately configured rooms can play independently. Plan the music around the people and spaces in your home.
Illustrative room plan. Independent zones depend on the configured equipment, amplification, and speaker wiring. Music-service limits can affect simultaneous streams.
One soundtrack.
Across your spaces.
Group compatible Sonos rooms to play the same music in sync, with volume control for the spaces included.

03 / Sonos Amp & built-in audio
Let the music
be part of the room.
Bring compatible passive speakers into a Sonos system with a plan for the amplification, wiring, and independent listening areas. Existing speakers deserve a proper assessment.
- 01Existing speakers, assessed
Review speaker models, condition, impedance, cable runs, and any wall volume controls.
- 02Zones defined by design
Match the amplification and wiring to the rooms you want to play independently or group together.
- 03A clean equipment location
Plan where the amps live, their connections and ventilation, and how the system will be organized.
For new installations, we supply the equipment as part of the project. Existing installed systems can be assessed for upgrades or troubleshooting. Drywall repair and painting are not part of our standard scope; any finish work is identified for separate coordination.
04 / Outdoor audio
Take the moment
outside.
The patio, porch, and pool area can have their own sound. We design around where people gather, how sound carries, and the conditions the equipment needs to handle.
- 01Coverage for the gathering space
Plan speaker locations around the listening area and surrounding spaces.
- 02Equipment suited to the setting
Select suitable outdoor speakers and place the amplifier in an appropriate protected location.
- 03Wired or portable, by purpose
Compare permanent speaker zones with portable Sonos options for the way you use the space.
The connection behind the music
Better listening.
A stronger foundation.
Dropouts, missing rooms, and grouping problems deserve a diagnosis. Because we also specialize in UniFi and home networking, we assess the Sonos system and the connections around it.
Find the pattern.
Review which rooms fail, when the issue began, and any recent router or system changes.
Check the connections.
Assess coverage, interference, supported wired connections, and network configuration.
Test the experience.
Check the agreed playback, grouping, TV audio, and control functions after changes.
Some problems call for a network improvement. Others need a Sonos configuration or compatibility change. We start by finding the cause.

A proposal built
around your rooms.
A soundbar setup and a full home of speaker zones involve different work. These service ranges help start the conversation; the project scope determines your estimate.
| Service | Typical starting range | Planning focus |
|---|---|---|
| Soundbar setup | $150–$350+ | Soundbar connection, TV audio settings, app setup, and testing. |
| Soundbar wall mounting | $250–$500+ | Mounting, placement, cable cleanup, and TV connection. |
| Surround sound setup | $350–$850+ | Compatible soundbar, Sub, rear speakers, configuration, and playback checks. |
| Sonos Amp setup | $250–$750+ | Passive speaker zones, in-ceiling or outdoor speakers, and rack-based audio. |
| Architectural speakers | Custom quote | In-ceiling, in-wall, or outdoor speaker wiring and installation. |
| Whole-home audio | Custom quote | Multiple rooms, amplification, network support, organization, and training. |
| Troubleshooting | $150/hr+ | Dropouts, missing rooms, grouping, app issues, and system cleanup. |
Hardware is separate unless listed in your estimate. New installations use equipment supplied by The SmartHome Co. Access conditions, wiring, additional network work, electrical work, and finish repairs can change the scope or require separate trade coordination.

Good questions. Clear answers.
Sonos questions,
answered.
Practical answers about sound, rooms, existing speakers, Wi-Fi, and planning your system.
Ask about your projectDo you provide Sonos multi-room setup in Atlanta and Marietta?
Yes. The SmartHome Co. integrates Sonos for TV audio, music, and multi-room listening in Marietta and Metro Atlanta. We plan the equipment and network requirements together, configure the agreed rooms, test playback, and show you how to use the installed system.
How much does Sonos installation cost in Metro Atlanta?
Pricing depends on the rooms, speakers, mounting, cable routes, TV connections, and network work involved. A soundbar setup has a different scope from several rooms of in-ceiling audio. We prepare a proposal that separates the selected equipment from installation and configuration, with the agreed setup and testing included.
Can different Sonos rooms play different music or play together?
Yes. Separately configured Sonos rooms can play independently or be grouped to play the same music in sync. For existing ceiling speakers, the amplifier channels and wiring determine which areas can operate independently. We plan the room layout, configure the agreed equipment, and show you how to group rooms and adjust their volume. Music-service account limits can affect simultaneous streams.
Why does my Sonos system keep cutting out or disappearing?
Connection problems can come from wireless interference, weak coverage, or network configuration, but the symptom alone does not identify the cause. We look at which rooms fail, when the problem started, and any recent changes, then assess both the Sonos system and the network before recommending replacement equipment.
Why did Sonos stop working after I changed my router?
A new router, Wi-Fi name, or password can leave Sonos trying to connect to the old network. The reconnection process depends on the products and Sonos app version. We check that combination and the new network settings before reconnecting the system. Avoid factory-resetting every speaker as a first step.
Can older and newer Sonos speakers work together?
Compatibility depends on the exact product generations and the app they support. Some products require S1, some use the current Sonos app, and others support either. Separate S1 and current-app systems cannot be grouped together for synchronized playback. We inventory the models before recommending an expansion or replacement.
Does my TV need HDMI ARC or eARC for a Sonos soundbar?
The required connection depends on the soundbar and the audio format you want. Compatible Sonos Atmos soundbars need HDMI ARC or eARC for Atmos; supported formats also depend on the TV and source device. Some Sonos products support optical connections with different limitations. We check the full signal path before selecting equipment.
Can Sonos use my existing in-ceiling or in-wall speakers?
A Sonos Amp can power compatible passive speakers, but the speaker load and wiring must be suitable. We check the speaker models, condition, cable runs, and how you want the rooms controlled. Existing volume controls and several speaker pairs on one circuit need to be included in that assessment.
Can I have Sonos audio on a patio or by a pool?
Yes, an outdoor audio design can use suitable outdoor speakers with a compatible Sonos Amp located in an appropriate protected space. Speaker placement, wiring, listening coverage, and equipment exposure all affect the design. We review those details instead of assuming indoor equipment is suitable for outdoor use.
Can you install Sonos equipment I bought myself?
For new installations, we supply the equipment as part of the project rather than installing newly purchased client-supplied products. If you already have an installed Sonos system, tell us the models and what you want to change so we can assess whether an upgrade or troubleshooting project is a fit.
